About

Welcome!

My name is Megan Johnson. I’m a follower of Christ who is passionate about mental health, psychology, gender and racial equality, and helping people grow in their faith. I graduated in April of 2017 from William Jessup University with a BA in Psychology.

As God has developed my passions and interests over the last several years of my life, I have come to care deeply about understanding, caring for, and encouraging people. I have also realized that many of the ways in which I seek to encourage people have to start with awareness. I want to uplift women by teaching people about the reality of sexism, and I want to break down the stigma of mental illness by educating people and being open about my experiences. These are just a couple of examples in which I’ve seen how vital awareness is to healing and growth.

Many of the things I’m passionate about are inspired by my own brokenness that God is redeeming. I believe that when we connect with people by relating to each other on a deep level of vulnerability, it can be incredibly impactful. In this blog I want to commit to being vulnerable about my life story, as well as hearing other people’s stories so that I can gain greater empathy and understanding for struggles that are not my own.

I hope and pray that what I write may be encouraging, uplifting, challenging, and most importantly draw you towards God and his beautiful heart of redemption.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

~Ecclesiastes 3:11
